Chelsea Lantan, a charge nurse on the night shift at Maryville, is our January 2018 Employee of the Month.

Originally from Oaxaca, Mexico, she moved to the United States in 1984. A licensed practical nurse, Chelsea says she appreciates working at Maryville because she enjoys her co-workers and loves the residents.

When asked what she would like others to know about her, she said, “I am friendly but take my job seriously.”

She has six children: five boys and one girl. Her daughter, Xiomara, also works at Maryville as a charge nurse.

When she is not at work, Chelsea enjoys spending time with her husband, Jorge, and their family. She also enjoys making yogurt and cheese, baking, and making soap.

Assistant Administrator Michael Kilbury said, “It is invaluable to an organization like Maryville to have dependable night time staff and Chelsea is a real asset. Chelsea is a mentor and comfort to other newer nighttime staff.”

He added, “There have been numerous times over the years I have asked her for help with a nighttime need and she has always been willing to lend a hand.”

Congratulations to Chelsea Lantan: Maryville’s January 2018 Employee of the Month.
